Israel (Hebrew: ישראל) known officially as State of Israel is a parliamentary republic in western Asia. Its capital and largest city is Jerusalem. It borders Lebanon in the north, Syria in the northeast, Jordan and the West Bank in the east, Egypt and the Gaza Strip on the southwest, and contains geographically diverse features within its relatively small area.
It is the world's only Jewish-majority state, and is defined as a Jewish and democratic state in its Basic Laws. Israel was founded in 1948. 76.2% of the population are Jewish, 16.1% are Muslims and 2.1% are Christians.
It is mentioned a few times in the HD Universe of the Grand Theft Auto series.
