Joey's Auto Painting is an auto painting and insurance repair shop owned by Joey Leone that appears in Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto Advance and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. It is also briefly mentioned in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Description[]

The business is located in Trenton, Portland, Liberty City, next to the Bitch'n' Dog Food Factory, and the AMCo. Petroleum Company. It is used as a front by the Leone Crime Family for stolen cars.

Events[]

Events of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas[]

At some point between 1987 and 1992, Carl Johnson worked for Joey Leone while living in Liberty City. As seen during The Introduction, Carl steals a Washington requested by Joey from a pedestrian driving on West Front Street in Red Light District and delivers the vehicle to his garage off-screen. Carl would later use this as a way to get Salvatore Leone's trust while scoping the Caligula's Palace for a heist.

Events of Grand Theft Auto III[]

In 2001, Claude meets Joey for the first time at the end of the mission "Drive Misty For Me", and completes several missions for Joey over time. His garage is open daily from 5am to 9pm.

During the game, he is seen working on his BF Injection buggy, which is later parked in front of Misty's apartment in Hepburn Heights. A Kruton 9000 computer is also visible in the garage, but only during cutscenes.

Trivia[]

  • The rusty wreck of a Beamer, a beta vehicle, is visible inside the garage. It can only seen if the player exploits a glitch to enter the garage, or by using mods.
  • While tuning a car the player can notice a glitched black lightbeam on the upper right corner, one of many beams that can be seen coming from the garage's roof in the opening cutscenes of Joey's missions.
  • The interior of the TransFender garages in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas are the same as Joey Leone's garage's interior in Grand Theft Auto III.
