Kincaid Bridge

Kincaid Bridge is a rail bridge in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas spanning Easter Bay, connecting San Fierro and Tierra Robada in San Andreas. The bridge is part of the Brown Streak Railroad, the state's primary rail system.

It is very accurate copy of the Forth Bridge just outside Edinburgh, Scotland. Like the Forth Bridge, the Kincaid Bridge sits alongside a road bridge, which is also modeled after its Scottish counterpart, the Forth Road Bridge, and the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, which would be more relevant to the setting of the game. Although unlike the Garver Bridge, the Kincaid Bridge is not based on any particular bridge in San Francisco and is only featured to replicate the two structures in Scotland.  Like its progenitor, Kincaid Bridge sports a cantilever design and an orange-red color. The presence of a bridge inspired by the Forth Bridge is one of several aspects of GTA San Andreas that reveal the British origins of the game.

Kincaid Bridge provides something of a northern boundary for the restricted sea and airspace surrounding Easter Basin Naval Station. Straying too far south of the bridge on the San Fierro side runs the risk of obtaining a 5-star wanted level.

Trivia

• The name "Kincaid" could be a reference to Kincardine, a town in Scotland on the shore of the Firth of Forth, just over 10 miles west of the Forth Bridge.
• While riding or driving a train across the bridge, one of the planes usually seen flying over San Andreas can sometimes be seen slamming into the higher support beams of the bridge.
