Kronos is depicted as a Swiss watch maker established in 1809.
In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Kronos is one of the sponsors of the Hotring Racer cars, although they strangely do not have any stores or seen in the city. The ProLaps White watch, however, is manufactured by Kronos. However, in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, the ProLaps White watches are found advertised in Shoreside Vale, with the slogan "The End of Time". Kronos, however, plays a much more significant role in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, with a store in Downtown Vice City, alongside Mule delivery trucks found within the city. Kronos clocks and watches can also be found within the game. Some adverts in Downtown Vice City and Escobar International Airport advertise the Kronos "Twatch" (mixture of "twat", a derogatory British term, and "watch), a digital strap-on watch.
The company has one known watch that is advertised in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto V: "The Gigante". In addition, a fully functional Kronos wall clock may be found in GTA IV at the South Bohan Safehouse, as well as various other interiors such as Oleg Minkov's apartment. Kronos has its own store on Elgin Avenue near Legion Square, in Los Santos.
It is suggested that by 2013, Kronos is in a rivalry with the more luxurious brand Crowex, as the enscriptions for their watches that can be bought in Grand Theft Auto Online claim they are willing to pay more for product placement than them.
In GTA Online, organizations can store and sell looted Kronos watches.
- The "Kronos" name is likely to be a derivative of "χρόνος" (chrónos), a Greek term for time.
- The ProLaps White watch manufactured by Kronos in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which is advertised in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories,' shows a watch with the arrow hands at rougly 11:16 AM, making the arms resemble eyebrows in an angered position.
