A parody of the brand Swatch, Kronos is depicted as a Swiss watch maker established in 1809. While only Kronos watches are advertised in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Kronos clocks and other timepieces were introduced in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, appearing in Kronos' only store in Vice City, located in Downtown; also in GTA Vice City Stories, their logo can also be seen on Mules driving around. Kronos promotes its products with the slogan "The End of Time".
The company has two known watches that are advertised in Grand Theft Auto IV and Grand Theft Auto V: the "Kronos Twatch" (a reference to the Swatch Delirium) and "The Gigante". In addition, a fully functional Kronos wall clock may be found in GTA IV at the South Bohan Safehouse, as well as various other interiors such as Oleg Minkov's apartment. Kronos has its own store on Elgin Avenue near Legion Square, in Los Santos.
- The "Kronos" name is likely to be a derivative of "χρόνος" (chrónos), a Greek term for time.
- The advertisement for Kronos in Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories shows a watch with the arrow hands at a position resembling the eyebrows in an angered position.
