"The perfect car to go with your flesh tunnel earrings, frosted spikes, and oversize jeans. Buy this and you'll never fail to be mistaken for a small town drug dealer again. This edition helps prevent a mistake turning into a tragedy with armor plating."
Southern San Andreas Super Autos description.

The Karin Kuruma (Armored) is an armored variant of the Kuruma, featured in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the Heists Update.

This vehicle is armored similarly to the Duke O'Death. It is featured in the Fleeca Job - Kuruma heist setup and in The Fleeca Job as the getaway vehicle. The only drawbacks of the armored version over the normal version is that view is significantly obstructed in first person view and the player can only use Handguns or Micro-SMGs. It has a roll cage by default and follows the secondary paint color. The brake light is concealed behind the armoured plating.

The performance is slightly different from the stock Kuruma. It shares the same traits as the normal Kuruma, having a bit less traction, but it is much more durable against collisions and gunshots, due to its bulletproof windows although it is extremely vulnerable to explosives. These windows will not shatter if shot at, though bullet holes will appear. This can protect the players inside the vehicle, as a bullet shot through the narrow panels will not damage the player's health to a great extent. It can also ram through traffic harder, and more easily than most vehicles of similar size, but at the cost of speed when colliding against them albeit to a lesser extent. The vehicle is notably more heavy than the normal Kuruma, and while that means it has understeer, it is also harder to roll on uneven terrain, though the Kuruma is still easy to roll. Furthermore, it is harder to cause a spin out due to the Armored variant having better handling than its normal counterpart. Driving offroad is one of the best of its class, chewing up miles on dirt like nothing else, and with monumentous traction, it fares well making trails on hills. Owing to these benefits, the Armored Kuruma is extremely popular among players, often being a staple of many online garages.

Just like the standard Kuruma in GTA Online, the vehicle features a turbo dump-valve by default.

  • Despite having armored windows, players can shoot out of the car without damaging the car and without gun animations. Other players will also be able to shoot through the windows and damage the player.
  • Despite having obvious armor and handling much heavier than its unarmored variant the armored Kuruma is listed as having the same weight as its unarmored brother on Southern San Andreas Super Autos.
