Las Venturas Bandits Stadium is a large baseball diamond with bleachers, located in the Redsands West district of Las Venturas, San Andreas, that appears in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Description[]

The stadium features a sign reading "Home of the Las Venturas Bandits", with a large baseball in the middle. The stadium also possesses a huge parking lot with several random vehicles that can be found parked in the area and several neon lights surrounding the building at night.

The entrances fans must use to enter the stadium are open leading to the bleachers, but despite a large curved corridor, lead to nowhere, likely an oversight by the developer. A snack vending machine can be found in the eastern side of the stadium, located next to four garage doors near the parking lot.

There is a scoreboard in the stadium showing the Bandits winning 8 to 7 in the 2nd inning, even though no baseball games ever take place in the game. There are two dugouts inside the field of the baseball stadium. A Shovel can be found in the eastern dugout along with a Baseball Bat in the middle of the field.

The stadium is based on Cashman Field in Las Vegas, which hosted the Las Vegas 51's in minor league baseball, and was the site of some Major League Baseball games in the 1980s and 1990s, even serving as a temporary home for the Oakland Athletics (another team the Bandits are based on) for the beginning of the 1996 season. Cashman Field has now been superseded by the Las Vegas Ballpark.

The stadium makes no appearances in the storyline.

Trivia[]

  • Bandits Stadium is only one of two stadiums fully depicted and rendered in a Grand Theft Auto game, the other being the Vinewood Racetrack. Most other stadiums that have appeared in the series are domed, with the interior not being normally accessible.
