New Rotterdam

New Rotterdam was an old Dutch colonial town that later became Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto IV. The town is based on the real life Dutch colonial town of New Amsterdam that later became New York City. A detailed history of New Rotterdam can be seen on Public Broadcasting Corporation 's show A History of Liberty City. Rotterdam Hill is named after New Rotterdam.
