Hey there, and welcome to the wiki's weekly news! It's October time and a GTA Online update is so close we could almost touch it! Let's get into it.

A quick update on the GTA Online Bikers update is that the release date is October 4, 2016, meaning it will be here with us at 10 am GMT this Tuesday.

This weekend is also another GTA Online bonus weekend. It features 50% off all warehouses and offices, 25% off cunning stunts super cars, 50% off the turreted limo, 25% off all special cargo crates, and 25% off Buckingham Swifts & Luxors. Additionally, there is 50% off Lester, Pegasus and Merryweather services, 25% off all motorcycles, and 25% off warehouses workbench vehicle upgrades. Signing in between the dates of September 30 and October 3 will also net the player yellow swirl pyjamas and smoking jacket. Heists and VIP/CEO work will also grant double RP. This week's premium stunt race is "Afterburner".

As it is the start of October, the time for announcing this month's featured article is now,…

Hey there. and welcome to GTA Wiki Weekly News. A lot has happened in the GTA Series this week, so let's get right into it!

Alright, so, probably the most important news this week is the announcement of the Bikers update for GTA Online. Although we may not have a release date yet, there has still been a lot announced for the free DLC, and a release date is surely just around the corner; I am almost 100% sure it will be released sometime around early-mid October. The update allows up to 8 players to create their own Biker crew. The Biker MCs will have their own ranking system; players can start off as a Prospect and eventually, if they're good enough, become club President. The update includes a wide range of new motorcycles, game modes, properties (which include players' very own club house which comes with a special biker mechanic), and venues for seedy ventures (here's hoping this includes things like nightclubs, Split Sides, maybe even the casino... probably not). There are also new …

Hey there, and welcome to GTA Wiki Weekly News! Let's get straight into it.

In GTA Online, Rockstar are continuing to hand out "GTA Online Bonuses", which is the same thing that they gave out last week; I guess they ran out of things to name them. The bonuses this week (running 16th September to 22nd September) are: half price off everything at Warstock Cache & Carry, double GTA$ and RP in Drop Zone and Parachuting, 25% off the Armored Kuruma, 50% off all Merryweather services, 25% off body armor, assault rifles, ammo and throwables. Also, this week's Premium Stunt Race is Threading the Needle in motorcycles. More info can be found here.

Did you know it was on this day three years ago that Grand Theft Auto V was released? Because I only realised last night! The time has flown by!

Firstly, I would like to congratulate Ultimate94ninja on passing his Patroller probation after three long months. I'm sure you'll be great!

Hey guys, and welcome to this week's edition of GTA Wiki Weekly News! This blog is here to keep you up to date with the weekly goings-on in the GTA Series and on the wiki itself. Let's get straight into it.

In Grand Theft Auto Online, this week's online bonuses (which for once don't actually have a name) are pretty vehicle and property related; there is 50% off all yachts, 50% off properties and offices, 25% off the Banshee 900R upgrade at Benny's, a double GTA$ and RP playlist, 50% off Cargobobs and Valkyries, and 25% off all high-end apartment interiors, office interiors and office modifications. Some more in-depth detail can be found on the full article on Rockstar's Newswire here. The bonuses will last from September 9th until September 15th.

All three of Monk's requests on the CNB passed, meaning warnings and blocks have been updated, the diff change pages now have a better look, and all of the staff banners as well as warning and block templates look a lot better too. Monk's brothe…

Hey guys, and welcome to the second edition of the wiki's weekly news. This blog is here to give you the latest updates on what has happened this week and what may be happening next week, so let's get straight into it!

Perhaps the biggest bit of news relating to the GTA Series this week was the news that failed actress and all round crack-head Lindsay Lohan lost her lawsuit against Rockstar, who she claims used her likeness for promotional purposes in Grand Theft Auto V. Not sure who I mean? Well you will when you take a look at the image on the right, it's Bikini Girl! She was probably the main artwork Rockstar used and continues to use when advertising GTA V (heck, the background of the artwork is our wiki's background!). It can also be found as the main image printed onto game discs for GTA V. You can check out more information on Lohan losing the lawsuit here.

Elsewhere in the series (or kind of in the same game), this week in Grand Theft Auto Online it is Sunday Drivers Week! Running fr…

Hey, and thanks for checking out the return issue of GTA Wiki's Weekly News! The news has been gone for over a year (maybe even two, who knows), and it is a great feeling for me to know it is back, hopefully meaning that it can help to serve as a latest news hub for all GTA Wiki editors.

As you can probably guess, the news blog will be weekly, being published every Saturday to let all users know what has happened during the week on both the wiki and in the series, and inform everyone on what is to come. The wiki has slowed down a bit this year, most likely due to the long wait for any new GTA games, but as Grand Theft Auto VI likely grows closer, the wiki should start to bustle again.

So, without further ado, let's get into it!

Fans of Grand Theft Auto Online are able to treat themselves to double GTA$ and RP in all free mode activities this week. This also includes a 25% discount off the Vapid FMJ and 50% off the Sultan RS upgrade at Benny's. PLUS there is also 50% off pistols, body armor, l…

An article concerning real life events is in urgent need of updating.

The Controversy article contains severely outdated information, particularly with regards to lawsuits and trials which have long since concluded. The issue is severe enough in my opinion that I felt the need to post it as a personal blog, and I have now posted it as a news article due to inaction. Real life event articles in particular should always be kept up to date, as it can otherwise be misleading. For additional information, see the article in question's Talk page.

Wow! It's been a while since a post like this has been made! I've been slacking off a bit lately myself, so I figured I should start with a news blog post. So, the Lowriders: Custom Classics was released yesterday, and with it brought a few neat little trinkets into the game.

For vehicles, we got the Faction Custom Donk, a modified version of the Faction, the Custom Slamvan, a lowrider version of the Slamvan, and the Classic Virgo, a lowrider from Grand Theft Auto IV. As far as weapons go, there was a Double-Barrel Shotgun, and a Compact Rifle. There was also several new clothing items, that are various urban styles.

I personally really like it, and the Doubled-Barrel Shotgun, Classic Virgo and clothing are pretty great.

So earlier today (as I'm writing this) the Halloween "Surprise" for enhanced GTA Online was released. Most of the community saw this coming a mile away, what with all the leaks after the Lowrider update; but it's all still very satisfying. Here are some of the new features!:

    • The two new cars, the Lurcher (a hearse with the front of a Buccaneer, and a fake corpse in the back) and Franken Stange (a 4-seater hot rod). Both vehicles are pretty festive, and are nice references in name and design, to The Addams Family and The Munsters
    • The one breathtaking new weapon, that will change the way we look at GTA forever: a flashlight. The flashlight is, as the name says, a small, electric flashlight that can be used for finding... shit, I don't know, ghosts? It's an alright "weapon".
    • New masks, face paint, and hood ornaments, all complimenting the best that horror has to offer.
    • Slasher, a series of new Adversary Modes. This is one of the few times I was actually interested in an Adversary Modes, and a…

Earlier today, Rockstar announced the release of new content for Grand Theft Auto Online, for Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC. The content featured in this update has been teased since early May of this year, and it's officially being released on September 15th, 2015. The official Newswire post can be found here, and the new content in this rad update are as follows:

    • The (debatably) most hyped new feature for this update, is the introduction of the Rockstar Editor for 8th Generation consoles, with some new features (such as Snapmatic incorporation) for PC players who have already had access to it.
    • The second coolest thing being added to the game, is the Freemode Events. Before I start on that specifically, the freemode game as we know it is getting changed, allowing for no menus, lobbies or loading times. Freemode Events can occur at any time in the open world, and much like the Free Roam of Grand Theft Auto IV, is customizable to the players liking, which I think is a great touch. The …

So, I found out today by seeing the new trailer that a new movie all about Grand Theft Auto and Rockstar Games starring Daniel Radcliffe and Bill Paxton is coming out September 15, 2015 at 9pm on BBC Two. It is however not something exactly glorifying the series as Rockstar tried their best to stop the movie being made but they persisted and now it is being released.

Rockstar revealed the upcoming content to Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online as part of the new Ill-Gotten Gains Part 2 update, the second release of this early (and hot) summer. The update will be released next week.

A "new" super car, similar in design to the Turismo R.

An off-road sports buggy made by Coil for some reason.

A new edition of the Coquette with a vintage design.

A fast boat. With a wooden finish and a cool name.

A muscle car made by Vapid.

A bike similar in design to the Thrust.

A one-shot pistol with a high damage per shot. Similar to a sort of mini-Musket.

Golden brass knuckles to beat the shit out of people with solid gold.

Much like previous update, new clothing (not fully announced yet).

The PC exclusive (or rather former exclusive) radio station is coming to all consoles with this update. No mention of the Editor though.

Ok, so a few weeks ago Wikia changed it's overall style, and now it seems as though the whole GTA Wiki looks much, much worse. Not in the sense of community, but in the sense of it's aesthetics. Below is a screenshot of what the front page looks like (to me) on a 1920x1080 screen.

As you can see, it just doesn't look good. I think the biggest fault is the background and navigation image. The background has all of that white space, and the header doesn't reach the sides of the page. Not only that, but the whole front page just seems out of preportion. I think we can all agree that this needs to be changed.

So I think we'll need a new background for the wiki. It can't be very detailed, due to the 300 KB file size, but it needs to be a high resolution, so it can fit well on monitors like mine.

As for the Wiki's content in general, I'm not sure. I barely know how it all works since Wikia wasn't working for me from the change up until today.

Anyway, I guess this is just a starting point in the…

Rockstar Games, who has been teasing a screenshot of a new car earlier, has now revealed its next content update for Grand Theft Auto Online, named the Ill-Gotten Gains Part 1.

Due to a surge in high-end crime across southern San Andreas, demand for luxury goods and services is at an all-time high. Upscale merchants of all kinds are scrambling to fill their inventories to serve the newly wealthy. The first of two major deliveries this summer will be hitting the showrooms of luxury car dealerships, the shelves of top arms suppliers and other prestigious retailers in June. Here are a few new screenshots featuring some of the new rides and accessories coming to GTA Online next week – and be on the lookout for another big shipment coming this summer.

This was the first car teased by Rockstar. Based on a Mercedes-Benz 300SL and a Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR, and features unique gullwing doors.

A returning car from previous titles, assuming the same design as its Grand Theft Auto IV rendition but with …

There has been quite a bit of 2nd and 3rd hand information flying around over the last couple of days about Rockstar Games coming down hard on any users with modified versions of GTA V (primarily mentioning PC version but obviously applying to the console versions which have been modified too).

The rumour: Online bans for Story Mode modifications.

So, the EULA has been changed to align with what I would term a "standard no-reverse-engineering" clause.

This isn't something we're likely to see an official Newswire announcement about, although there have been a couple in the last 18 months to announce their crack-downs on on-line modders.

I've never been heavily into modding my games. I have a few modded installs of GTA San Andreas but they are mostly visual mods (vehicle models, texture replacements, some handling and language file updates etc). It was certainly a long time after I had completed…

    It's finally here.

GTA V is now available for PC players everywhere. If you bought the game on Steam, you will now be able to 'unpack' and install the game. If you have purchased a physical copy, 7 discs and a 5 GB update to the game will send you on your way to Los Santos like you've never seen it before.

The game will take a while to install though, due to it's huge size. I preordered the physical version, so it took about an hour and a half for all 7 discs to burn onto my HDD. I'm writing this during my 5 GB download, which is averaging about 400 kb/s, althoughit does bounce up to 1 mb/s every now and then. Usually get 2 mb/s downloading on Steam, so the servers aren't the best right now.

There have been a few issues regarding the installation of the game. Most of these issues are covered in a support page created by Rockstar:

However, I had an issue that it seemed as though none other had before…

In a recent article, IGN revealed much information about the upcoming Heists update.

They most notably played one of the 4-men heists: The Humane Labs Raid, a heist involving raiding the labs in the dark after triggering an EMP, in a Splinter Cell-like atmosphere. They revealed that the heist is not available outright; the crew must go through five different setup missions, which are:

    • Steal two HVY Insurgents
    • Steal the Valkyrie helicopter from the Los Santos Naval Port
    • Get info from an informant, and escape the FIB ambush
    • Steal an Hydra from Aircraft Carrier 96 and deliver it to Sandy Shores Airfield
    • Deliver an EMP device to Humane labs

The article also revealed/confirmed the name of multiple vehicles:

    • VTOL - Hydra
    • Armored SUV - Insurgent (funny fact is that IGN describes it as an APC-esque vehicle)
    • UH-1Y Venom - Valkyrie (Ride of the)

Unfortunately, the Hind's name remains unknown.

Our apologies to PC gamers worldwide who have been counting down the days until the launch of the game, but a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC."

That's right. GTA V for the PC has been delayed by another 3 weeks, merely 1 month away from launch. This was due to them needing more time to polish the game, just like they said last time. That means those who preorder online will get 1 milliion GTA Online dollars and 500 thousand GTA V dollars.

What many PC gamers have been dreading has become a truth. GTA V PC Edition has been delayed from January 27, 2015 to March 24, 2015. Rockstar published the following reason on their newswire:

"Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be. Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March."

Also on the article were the PC specifications for the new edition. I don't have a clue what any of this means so I'll give you guys the article so you can work it out. VaultBoy out.

    Hi all,

There's been some speculation within the GTA community during the past week in regards to the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V being delayed.

Rockstar responded to a fan questioning the delay, stating “GTAV will be coming to PC on January 27th. We have not announced any changes to this date at this time.” however, that was over a week ago. Rockstar also stated that the system requirements would be released on the Newswire, but that too was over a week ago. Another reason for concern is the fact that the Steam page for GTA V is lacking information. The page still says "Early 2015", rather than it's intended release date.

So, what do you think will happen? Delay? No delay? Leave your thoughts in the comments section, I'd love to hear them. As for me, I think it's just Rockstar being Rockstar. I believe they're intentionally holding back information so everyone would get so worried about it then BAM they release more info.

    GTA V Heists

    November 14, 2014 by QSchoolboyx3

Just recently, Rockstar posted onto their Newswire information about the Next Generation of GTA V. With this, they discussed some of the key features such as 30-player lobbies, an upgraded Creator Tool for levels, 1st Person Mode and a new character creator.

Among the news, Rockstar revealed that the Online Heists update will be released soon after the Next Generation GTA V.

What are your opinions? I'm happy about this because it will add new features as well as much more gameplay overall, as well as that, people will finally stop complaining about the Heists update.

(Not related, but one of the songs on Radio Los Santos on Next-Gen, I've listened to many times and thought it should be in GTA V and it is! Bugatti by Ace Hood ft. Rick Ross. Yay, it's a great song.)

Hey guys. Welcome to a Weazel News Breaking News blog!

Today's breaking news is about the apparent leaked info by a member of the Rockstar Support team. What basically happened, is a user asked Rockstar Support about what changes he could expect to see when transitioning from PS3, Xbox 360 to PS4, Xbox One - a pretty normal question right? Well, it didn't have the exact answer that someone would expect.

The Rockstar Support guy started off talking about graphics, animals blah blah blah. However, he then began bullet-pointing things that nobody had actually known. The biggest piece of info was that there would be a new first-person mode when inside vehicles but most notably when on foot.

Anyways, enough chit chat. Here's a video made by renowned Youtuber, Olli43.

Hello and welcome to Weazel News with me, LS11sVaultBoy!

I haven't done a news report for about 8 months since mid February. I thought that the series should be rejuvenated but under a new name. It, for now, seems to be just me doing the news. It will be released every Friday with the chance of a random one happening for special events such as updates or - if it lasts this long - any new GTA games released by Rockstar. So, let's get going with this week's news!

Finally! Grand Theft Auto V on the next gen has got a release date! As many of you will now know, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release date has been announced as November 18, 2014 and sadly, for PC players that is, the PC version has been delayed to January 27, 2015. Hopefully the delayed release date means that EVEN MORE can be added to GTA V than is already being added exclusively to the Xbox One and PS4.

In other news, new Michael, Franklin and Trevor artwork plus much more is available for download from http://www.rockstarga…
