It was first released in 2004, and has since been redesigned into the Nintendo DS Lite, which is a much more compact version, the Nintendo 3DS, a DS with the ability to display images in 3D, and the Nintendo DSi, one with 2 cameras and a built in web browser.

Only one Grand Theft Auto game was released for the DS: Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars.
