The Old School Hall in Grand Theft Auto III.

The Old School Hall is a building in Chinatown, Portland Island, Liberty City, next to the entrance to Callahan Bridge. It is one of the destinations for Taxi Driver side missions. During the mission The Fuzz Ball, a police ball is held there, and Claude is instructed by Luigi Goterelli to deliver his prostitutes to the ball.

Original School

The Old School Hall was originally supposed to be a real school in the game, complete with children and School Buses around the area. However, these were all removed from the game; this is believed to be due to the concern of killing children in the game.

The Beta images show that it had bright walls and plants around it; similar to an elementary school or pre-school. Since the beta was removed, it was changed to a ballroom.

Trivia

  • In the GTA III mission, "The Fuzz Ball", two police cars are parked in the parking area, accompanied by a banner saying "Liberty Police Annual Ball".
