Photo Opportunity is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas given to protagonist Carl Johnson by Varrios Los Aztecas leader Cesar Vialpando from Carl's garage at the Doherty district of San Fierro, San Andreas.
Carl recieves a phone call from Cesar. Cesar had been tracking a Ballas car, most likely coming to San Fierro to acquire some cocaine. Cesar wants Carl to come with him. Carl makes his way to Cesar's location near Blueberry in Red County. The two hop on Cesar's Savanna and begin to travel towards Angel Pine, where the car was last seen headed.
After entering the small town, Carl and Cesar position themselves on a rooftop overlooking Cluckin' Bell. Carl brings out a camera and plans to take pictures, believing this to be a meeting. Soon after, a Picador pulls in. It is Ryder, along with a Ballas member. After Ryder, another man arrives in a ZR-350. Cesar identifies him as T-Bone Mendez from the San Fierro Rifa. Shortly followed thereafter, is a man in a suit, arriving in a Washington. Then finally, a fourth man arrives in a Broadway, joining the others. He is identified as a pimp by Carl, but both Cesar and Carl do not know him. After taking pictures of all four men, Cesar and Carl leave Angel Pine, stopping by a gas station. Cesar leaves CJ at the gas station, saying he'll meet him back in San Fierro.
In order to complete the mission the player must:
- Go and pick up Cesar
- Get in Cesar's car and head out to Angel Pine
- Get up on the roof
- Photograph the face of all 4 targets, but be quick about it and be sure to zoom in with each target
- This is one of several missions to not work correctly if the "pedestrians attack each other" cheat is used. The others are 555 We Tip, Burning Desire, Madd Dogg, and Tanker Commander.
- Originally this mission was very different. The player was originally tasked with stealing a helicopter to meet Cesar, and the photos would also have been taken from the helicopter. This was most likely removed when the decision was made to include the flying school at a later point in the game and give the mission a more espionage approach (and explain Cesar's fear of heights later in the game). This is also the reason why Carl is shouting when making his comments about Ryder and Jizzy B, presumably to make himself heard over the engine of the helicopter, before the mission was changed without the dialogue being re-recorded.
