− | It is modeled after the existing Esperanto in GTA IV, with a lightbar on the top of the roof and blue and red lights elsewhere. It is used by the North Yankton State Patrol. The Police Roadcruiser only spawns with snow on its roof, hood and trunk, due to it being programmed to appear only in the Prologue, like the Police Rancher. The vehicle also features chains on its tires. |

The Albany Police Roadcruiser is a law enforcement vehicle which appears in Grand Theft Auto V.
Design
Grand Theft Auto V
The Police Roadcruiser is a police variant of the Esperanto from Grand Theft Auto IV, used by the North Yankton State Patrol. The vehicle shares the same design and features as the regular version, but features blacked-out trim, and is covered in snow in the upper surfaces, bumpers and windows. The Albany logo in the center of the trunk has been removed to make room for police markings.
The car features an all-white color with gold and blue stripes down the side, "STATE PATROL" on the fenders and trunk, and the police emblem emblazoned on the front doors. "Trooper of the year 1951" markings can be seen on the rear portions.
The vehicle sports a unique light bar bearing four emergency lights, spot lights mounted on the A-pillars and two antennas on the roof. It also features chains on its tires for better grip on snowy and icy streets, although they are purely cosmetic.

Trivia
Grand Theft Auto V
- Crashing into walls will detach the lightbar located on the roof. This also happens with the Police Rancher.
- The car is internally defined as a sports car in the handling data. Therefore, if driving around town in it, pedestrians will comment on it positively, even though it is just a police car.
- The car features the unit number 86 on the roof, but it is not visible in game as it is permanently obscured by snow. The number can be seen on the texture for the police livery.
- In the enhanced version, there is a chance that a smartphone holder will spawn in the interior of the car. This is an anachronism, as modern smartphones did not exist in 2004. This is most likely a developer oversight.
Bugs/Glitches
Grand Theft Auto V
- The white lights on the police lightbar flash blue.
- The normals of the white light bar glass are inverted, causing the glass to appear inside-out.
- While the grille badges of the standard Esperanto are present on the model, they do not appear in game due to incorrect alpha channel vertex paint.
- In the enhanced version, the NYSP seal is mirrored on the right side of the vehicle.
