Richard Goblin is a French chef who owns a chain of restaurants, Dick Goblin's World of Coq, with one location in each major city of San Andreas and is first referenced in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas during "Entertaining America" with advertising billboards across the state. In 1998 he hosts the show Coq O Vin on LCFR where he mutilates live animals and insults the American values when it comes to cooking. He also takes calls from fans of the show, most of whom he alienates by slaughtering animals in their general direction, viciously insulting them or actually attacking them. Over the course of the show, Richard forces a cow to give birth directly into his soup and then butchers her, stuffs a live goose and chops up the eyeballs and perineum of a large mammal and makes them into a calzone.
His name is another lewd pun from Rockstar: by using the shortened version of Richard, his name becomes Dick Goblin, which sounds like "dick gobbling", i.e. oral sex.
Richard Goblin was voiced by Mike Shapiro, who is famous for his voice work in the Half-Life series of videogames.
