Changing status

Barry can be killed in the game. See at 9:50. Should his status be changed to "Player's Choice?" GTAndrew (talk) 20:28, October 9, 2013 (UTC)

No. The option to kill him is not canon. Tom Talk 21:10, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
True, but if you kill him and Rockstar decides to include him as a character in the next GTA game, it wouldn't make any logical sense. The option to kill Trevor, for example, is canon, but his status is listed as "Player's Choice" and we can assume that Rockstar is not going to have him as a character in any other future GTA game. This is not because everyone is required to kill Trevor in the game (because no one is), but because of the people who did decide to kill him. It wouldn't make sense, story-wise, for those people to see him in the next game since they killed him. I'm not sure. The "canon" reasoning makes sense, but I'd be interested to hear what others have to say. GTAndrew (talk) 23:24, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
It really doesn't matter what others have to say. The fact is that the option to kill him is not canon. It's basically like saying Niko's status is "player's choice" because in one mission you can chase him down and kill him. The fact remains that while that is possible, it isn't canon. Just out of curiosity, which mission would that be? GTAndrew (talk) 23:58, October 9, 2013 (UTC)
Ladies Half Price in TBoGT. You can also kill Packie. Tom Talk 00:09, October 10, 2013 (UTC)
Does Barry respawn after he is killed in GTA V? GTAndrew (talk) 22:46, October 10, 2013 (UTC)
He appears to in that video you linked in your first comment. Tom Talk 23:06, October 10, 2013 (UTC)
