The Truth is Out There was a mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which was deleted before the game's release. The mission would have taken place somewhere in the Las Venturas set of missions. It was a mission for The Truth in which you and 3 members of the Grove Street families had to go to Bayside Marina and rescue him from government agents who were chasing him for wandering around Area 69. It is believed that you would have been able to use the FBI Truck in this mission.

In order to complete the mission the player must:
- Federal agents are after The Truth for wandering around Area 69!
- You'll need a police helicopter to get near him - this one is being dispatched to his location.
- Get to the helipad at the San Fierro police station.
- You need to find The Truth before he is arrested.
- Get in the helicopter.
- Get to the helipad in Bayside before The Truth is arrested!
- Escort The Truth taking out anyone trying to kill him.
Reward
The reward for this mission is an asset, which generates a maximum of $10,000. In addition, player will have a 5 star wanted level.
Trivia
- The name of this mission is a reference to the slogan of the famous sci-fi series The X-Files: "The Truth is Out There".
- A popular mod by DeeZire allows you to play this mission, as well as the deleted Impounded and the original Doberman mission. The restored mission makes use of dialogue files that were in the game but were unused.
- The FBI Truck was a featured vehicle during this mission. Due the mission was cut in Final release, the car was only spawning via cheats in final release and it was not a FBI vehicle during 5-Star Wanted Level.
