The Trip Skip is a feature in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars and Grand Theft Auto Online that allows the player to skip the ride to a certain destination if they are on their second attempt, although it is only available during certain missions. When a trip skip is executed, the words Later that day... will appear at the bottom of the screen and the player will be transported to their destination at a later time (in the case of GTA San Andreas it's after one in-game hour and a half).
The feature was later introduced into GTA Online, specifically for heists. It would only qualify if all players were going to the same location and had already done the current heist/heist setup. Note it requires votes from all players, and can cost up to $4000. It can later effect progress on the heist finale is a trip-skip is used.

- The trip skip icon in GTA San Andreas has image of Deluxo's side profile, which does not appear in San Andreas, but appears on GTA Vice City and GTA Vice City Stories.
- The use of a Deluxo, a car partially based on the DeLorean DMC-12 may be a reference to the Back to the Future film series which features a DeLorean-based time machine.
