Trip Skip

The Trip Skip is a feature in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars and Grand Theft Auto Online that allows the player to skip the ride to a certain destination past the first attempt, although it is only available during certain missions. When a trip skip is executed, the words Later that day... will appear at the bottom of the screen and the player is transported to their destination at a later time (in the case of GTA San Andreas it's after one in-game hour and a half).

The "trip-skip" feature may also refer to the ability for the player to skip the time taxi rides take to reach a destination in Grand Theft Auto IV, GTA Chinatown Wars and Grand Theft Auto V.

The feature was later introduced into GTA Online, specifically for heists. It would only qualify if all players were going to the same location and had already done the current heist/heist setup. Note it requires votes from all players, and can cost up to $4000. It can later affect progress on the heist finale if a trip-skip is used.
