It's finally here.
GTA V is now available for PC players everywhere. If you bought the game on Steam, you will now be able to 'unpack' and install the game. If you have purchased a physical copy, 7 discs and a 5 GB update to the game will send you on your way to Los Santos like you've never seen it before.
The game will take a while to install though, due to it's huge size. I preordered the physical version, so it took about an hour and a half for all 7 discs to burn onto my HDD. I'm writing this during my 5 GB download, which is averaging about 400 kb/s, althoughit does bounce up to 1 mb/s every now and then. Usually get 2 mb/s downloading on Steam, so the servers aren't the best right now.
There have been a few issues regarding the installation of the game. Most of these issues are covered in a support page created by Rockstar:
However, I had an issue that it seemed as though none other had before. When I first opened up the GTA V Launcher, it asked for an activation code, which I had already redeemed on an account that I owned. Unfortunately, the Social Club already logged me in under my older account, and I couldn't sign out of that one, so I couldn't progress. The way I fixed it is by going into L.A. Noire and signing out of my older account and signing into my new one. I hope this helps for anyone who has the same problem.
Well, I'm not sure what else I have to say here. If you're like me and have been waiting for this game 2+ years, it's been a long, long, loooooong wait, but it will all pay off.
Thanks for reading and have a great time in-game.
