Vice City News (VCN) is a news station located in Downtown, Vice City in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.
Description
The door at the foot of the building leads directly to the roof. In GTA Vice City, a VCN Maverick and a hidden package can be found on the rooftop helipad. The legend Eight-Ten VCN can be seen on the side of the VCN helicopter and on a sign on the front of the VCN building.
A Vice City News radio station was originally due to be featured in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City but was removed during the game's development. The only remnants of this station is an unused logo and radar icon in the game's files.
In Xbox and early Xbox 360 versions of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, the Newsvan will appear with VCN markings, instead of SAN News from the other versions.
Easter Egg
There is an easter egg, located in a secret room in a window of a building next to the helipad on the roof of the VCN building. If the player jumps off the helipad into the building next to it, they go through the wall and land in the room.
- In GTA Vice City, inside the room there is a large chocolate egg on a podium with the words "Happy Easter" written on it.
- In GTA Vice City Stories on the PlayStation 2, the Easter egg is seen as being under construction.
- In GTA Vice City Stories on the PlayStation Portable, the wall is solid and the hidden room is not accessible.
