Westdyke and Leftwood Map

Westdyke is a large suburban neighbourhood in northern Alderney.

The area is large and sparse particularly to the north of the neighbourhood where countryside begins to take over from the quiet suburbs. The houses in Westdyke are generally very large and represent the wealthier side of Alderney, and also Liberty City as a whole.

Mansions can be seen along the northside of Owl Creek Avenue, and other large houses across the street. The middle mansion there has a helicopter and pad in the backyard, and the most western features a pool. The most eastern house on the eastern intersection of Big Horn and Owl Creek was featured on CNT's hit reality show, I'm Rich. On the corner of Beaverhead and Flathead in Leftwood, a driveway, on beaverhead just shy of the intersection, takes you to two mansions, both with a backyard pool, one of which is Jimmy Pegorino's estate, both mansions are in Westdyke however, the border runs through the driveway. In addition an old abandoned mansion can be seen by completing the dirt road of Beaverhead, across the street from the Burger Shot.

To the south of the locale, the area becomes more dense with population and services. This is close to where Westdyke merges with Leftwood. Westdyke Memorial Hospital is located oddly enough in Leftwood, just south of Westdyke and is one of the two enterable hospitals in the game (along with Schottler Medical Center in Broker).

TRANSPORTATION

Going around Westdyke is simple, there are a few main streets that will take you to where your going in no time. In the eastern part of the town is Sacramento Avenue, which can take you to the parking garage, Westdyke Autos, Burger Shot, and Leftwood. Beaverhead avenue circles Westdyke at all angles but the south, and is mainly a secenic drive, the only time you will really need to drive on it is in the last mission, but you can use it to more quickly get from the West River to the Ocean. Owl Creek Avenue is a cut-through street you can take to get across the town horizontally, but it is another scenic route as you can get a nice, close glimps of mansions and upper-class houses. The other big cut-through street is Big Horn, which intersects with Owl Creek twice, and goes around the back of the Owl Creek mansions. This street is mainly used to get access to the Car Wash there, or an even quicker way to get to the helicopter in the middle mansion's backyard, than going around the front. No highway runs through Westdyke, but the Plumbers Skyway does run nextdoor in Leftwood, in which the Rand Avenue Intersection north, a left on Franklin, and right on Sacramento will take you into eastern Westdyke. The first exit of the skyway from the Hickey Bridge (not including the lighted intersection) will better take you to the western coast of Westdyke, and the Westdyke Memorial Hospital (which is actually in Leftwood). Make a right on Manzano, and than a Left on Flathead to reach western Westdyke.
