Whan-Q Bank is a Chinese bank featured in Grand Theft Auto IV, Episodes from Liberty City, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars, and Grand Theft Auto Online.

Description

There are three branches in Liberty City: The first is located in Cerveza Heights, Dukes, situated on Huntington Street, between Camden and Inchon Avenues. The second branch can be found in The Triangle, Algonquin, on Hematite Street, between Frankfort and Denver-Exeter Avenues, opposite the Rotterdam Tower. Lastly, the third branch is in Chinatown, Algonquin, on the corner of Diamond Street and Wong Way.

The late Triad boss Mr. Lee (Huang Lee's father) may be related to the bank, since there's a paper in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars signed by a "Whan Wong Lee", which may or may not be Mr. Lee.

The logo of the company appears as a sponsor on the White Racing Suit added in the Cunning Stunts update for Grand Theft Auto Online.

Influence

The bank may be based on HSBC/The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation.
