Wu Zi Mu: “This isn't over yet.”
CJ: “What'choo mean?”
Wu Zi Mu: “Well. Your former friends have a factory. And the way I see it, if you take that out, you will have put them out of business for good.”
Wu Zi Mu tells Carl Johnson about the Loco Syndicate's drug factory

Yay Ka-Boom-Boom is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas given to protagonist Carl Johnson by the Mountain Cloud Boys Triad from the gas station/garage in Doherty, San Fierro, San Andreas.

Mission[]

Cesar arrives at the garage and congratulates Carl for taking down the Loco Syndicate, but Carl is upset about the fact that he had to kill his childhood friend, Ryder. Cesar, however, reveals that Ryder previously attempted to have sex with Kendl. Woozie arrives and explains that the Loco Syndicate is now finished and the only thing left to do is to destroy the crack factory in Doherty. One of Woozie's guys has set a wired car for the job. Carl then goes to the garage in Downtown and picks up the wired Tampa, which he drives to the factory. The gate is closed and there are two guards that are killed by Carl, which prompts the alarm to go off and the gate to open, while more henchmen surround the factory in order to stop him. Carl gets inside the factory and parks near the chemical containers. He activates the bomb and escapes in time, the resulting blast destroying the factory and leaving a pile of rubble instead. The gate being closed, Carl manages to take a Voodoo and perform a stunt jump over some containers, which takes him outside the factory. Carl safely gets back to his garage, ending the Syndicate's operations in San Fierro.

Mission Objectives[]

In order to complete the mission the player must:

  • Go and pick up the wired car from the Bomb Shop.
  • Park the car inside the Crack Lab.
  • Kill the Guards, that will get their attention.
  • Use the ramp to get into the crack lab.
  • Park the car near the Chemical containers.
  • Get out of the warehouse before the timer runs out.
  • Escape out the Main gates.
  • They've shut the gate!
  • Use the Car to ramp over the wall.
  • Get back to the Garage.

Reward[]

The rewards for this mission are $25,000 and increased respect. The mission Monster is unlocked. Also, the player can now buy the Wang Cars showroom (only if the Driving School has been completed first), which unlocks the Zeroing In mission. The player can also buy the M4 from Ammu-Nation from this mission onwards.

The player can also now traverse Tierra Robada, Bone County and Las Venturas without getting any police attention, thus opening the entire map to the player, although Carl cannot yet buy safehouses in Las Venturas until completion of Learning to Fly. Despite the new areas opening up, several more San Fierro-based missions remain before the region is complete. All the safehouses in the desert can be bought except the Verdant Meadows Airfield, which can be bought after Verdant Meadows.

Cesar will stop phoning the player about the Big Smoke's Cash and Loco Syndicate Drug Courier side missions after this mission, as the location where the 'yay' comes from, has been destroyed. Furthermore, completion of the mission also unlocks the Beat the Cock! triathlons in Santa Maria Beach and Fisher's Lagoon, as well as the Freight Train Challenge and the last two missions of the Trucking side mission. The player can now save their game at Mike Toreno's Ranch, travel by train to Yellow Bell Station or Linden Station and purchase flight tickets to Las Venturas at Los Santos International Airport or Easter Bay Airport for $500, and vice versa.

Transcript
CJ is in his garage, regretting over killing his childhood friend Ryder. Cesar arrives and meets him.
Cesar: Carl! You're a fucking hero down in LS, I just spoke to my cousin.
CJ: Not wit' my people I ain't. Shit's still fucked up. Man, I got homies I used to run with that turn their back on me, over this.
Cesar: Yeah, well, what are you going to do, huh?
CJ: Fucking Ryder man! That was my homie. And I've killed him!
Cesar: Fucking midget deserved it, eh. Little asshole tried to bang your sister, you know that?
CJ: ...No... For real...? Shit. Maybe you're right, then, man. But...
Cesar: Cheer the fuck up. You're going soft on me, man. You did something good, eh?
Woozie arrives.
Woozie: Yes you did. But this isn't over yet.
CJ: What you mean?
Woozie: Well, your former friends have a factory. And the way I see it, if you take that out, you will have put them out of business for good.
Outside his garage, CJ gets a phone call from one of Woozie's guys, who is a mechanic.
CJ: Yeah?
Mechanic: CJ?
CJ: Who is this?
Mechanic: I work for Woozie he told me to call you.
CJ: Alright, wassup?
Mechanic: I'm rigging a car with explosives so you can take out the crack factory! Drop 'round the garage Downtown.
CJ: Cool. I'll be at you in a minute.
CJ arrives at the garage.
CJ: Hey man, is it ready?
Mechanic: She's all set. Get in.
CJ gets in the Tampa.
Mechanic: She's packing enough to take out that crack lab. I've wired in a delay timer, to give you time to get out.
CJ: Cool. Good lookin'.
CJ arrives at the crack factory in the Tampa, killing two guards near the entrance gate.
Guards: (The guards are alerted of CJ's presence)
*Hey, some loco bastard is blasting on our homeboys!
*It's a hit!
*We're being hit! (More guards are sent to kill CJ)
*Get out there and kill the fool!
*Open the gates and waste the dumb fuck, holmes!
*Blast the moron, open the gate!
CJ kills the guards outside, and enters the factory with the Tampa.
Worker:
*Who the fuck are you!
*What the fuck is he doing?
*This ain't no parking lot!
*Shit, I'm so fried I'm seeing shit!
*Have I missed something here?
CJ places the Tampa in the factory and activates the bomb. After CJ escapes the factory, the bomb detonates, causing the entire factory to explode. CJ then escapes out of the gates and gets back to his garage.

Post-Mission Phone Call[]

Carl Johnson: Speak on it.

Unknown Caller: This is a friend of yours. I've got some information relating to your brother. Come to my ranch and I'll explain. It's in Tierra Robada, cross the Garver Bridge, head south.

Carl Johnson: Who the fuck is this?

Unknown Caller: I can't talk right now. Get your ass over here.

Carl Johnson: Moms always told me not to talk to strangers.

Unknown Caller: And look what happened to the bitch! Now if you want your brother to go to sleep tonight with his tongue intact, get your ass over here! Goodbye.

Trivia[]

  • Despite the Tampa being fitted with a bomb, no damage meter appears and the bomb cannot be rigged until the car is parked in the factory. Also, if the player destroys the Tampa once the bomb is activated, it will not detonate.
  • The Tampa has a special number plate 'TIME8OMB' at the rear and at the front "SH37 DEA" which means "SHIT DEA" when translating the 3 and 7 on the plate to Leet.
  • The mechanic's voice actor, who supplies Carl with the car, also voices many other characters in the game, including Guppy, Wu Zi Mu's assistant.
  • Escaping from the factory via the ramp will award the player a unique stunt jump bonus. This can be repeated if unsuccessful, as the factory's gates remain permanently open following the mission.
  • Once this mission is complete, a WCTR News bulletin reports that the police "celebrates" the factory's destruction.
  • Woozie and Guppy can be seen standing still without any animation during the cutscene segment when Carl mentions that he killed Ryder.
  • No matter how fast the player is, it is impossible to get out of the factory through the gates before a car with two guards enters and the gates are shut, forcing the player to use the car and the ramp to escape. Also, if the car is destroyed before the player gets out, another car spawns near the destroyed factory.
  • Destroying the Voodoo will not result in a mission failure, as another will always spawn if the current one is destroyed.
